Little Egg
Little Egg is an adorable little brunch spot in Prospect Heights doing interesting things with its namesake ingredient. You can get your eggs rolled into a silky French omelet, or order the Eggs Rothko, the ultimate adult toad-in-the-hole experience. But the superstar egg sandwich here involves a fluffy steamed egg patty, panko-fried and topped with a fresh yuzu kosho mayo. It’s both novel enough to warrant a trek to the neighborhood, and simple enough to join your regular brunch rotation if you live nearby. Little Egg is the sequel to Egg, a beloved Williamsburg brunch spot that closed in 2020. Their loyal fan base is always present, so you might have a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. Having a leisurely chat with the barista in a sun-soaked, yolk-colored nook is what Saturday mornings are all about.
