If you tried to keep track of every brand new restaurant in Miami, you might go a little bit crazy. So just read this list instead. These are the new restaurant openings we think you should know about—although keep in mind, we haven’t been to all of them. And for the ones we haven’t tried, we make no promises. If you’re looking for the new restaurants we’ve already checked out and loved, go to our Hit List.
May
This isn’t exactly a new concept—but the former pop up finally got the keys to its brick and mortar in Downtown. This Vietnamese spot’s menu has more back-to-back hits than Rihanna, and it’s so good we already added it to our hit list.
The New Schnitzel House
The New Schnitzel House took over a classic German spot on 79th Street and serves food like kraut, pretzels, and schnitzels. It has two big cocktail bars and a very ‘80s South Beach aesthetic.

Shingo
$180 per person (plus tip) will get you into this 14-seat Coral Gables omakase from a former Hiden chef. The restaurant is inside the historic La Palma building.
This new addition to Bird Road is a cocktail bar that serves small plates like oysters and roasted cauliflower roti. They’re also scooping ice cream from Cry Baby you can enjoy while you sip an espresso martini.

Julia & Henry's
Julia & Henry’s is a big multi-level food hall in Downtown with vendors serving chicken sandwiches, tacos, burgers, and about 20 more food vendors.
Dumplings Mi Amor
Catty corner from Mr. Omakase (and from the same team) is Dumplings Mi Amor, a fast casual Asian spot with a long counter and, of course, dumplings (but prioritize the ramen).

Eleventh Street Pizza Dadeland
Eleventh Street Pizza is already one of our favorite pizza spots in Miami. And this month, they brought their pies to the fine people of Kendall in Downtown Dadeland. It’s a bigger location with slightly smaller pies and lower prices than their Downtown location.
Omakai Coconut Grove
Another sushi restaurant that opened this month is Omakai in Coconut Grove. This is their third location after opening in Aventura and Wynwood. Here, you can find more affordable omakase options that range from $26 to $95. But you can also order a la carte.
Add Bondi Sushi to the growing list of NYC restaurants moving to Miami. The small sushi restaurant serves crispy rice, nigiri, and does a 12-piece omakase.
Koko
Koko is a Mexican restaurant in Coconut Grove by the Bakan restaurant group. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can check out their menu here.
Calle Dragones
This is a Cuban/Asian fusion restaurant that also has live cabaret shows. We’re getting strong clubstaurant energy from this Little Havana spot.
April
The new Wynwood location of the New York classic has a menu very similar to its predecessor. It includes French dishes like steak tartare, escargot, steak frite, and duck confit. Its walls are also lined with white subway tiles and there’s also outdoor seating.
Rishtedar
Rishtedar also opened in Wynwood this month. The restaurant has a colorful atmosphere and serves Indian food. You can make reservations here.
Rum Room is located next to the Miami Beach Convention Center. Their menu focuses on Caribbean and Latin American cuisines. It’s a small restaurant in a historic building. You can check out their menu online.
Levant
Kebabs, kibbehs, and lamb chops are some of the dishes you’ll find on Levant’s menu. The Middle Eastern restaurant is open in Coral Gables, and aside from all those meaty dishes, they also offer various vegan options and “Middle Eastern-inspired” cocktails.
The Capital Burger
The Capital Burger, a Capital Grille cousin, is a new spot on Miracle Mile serving (you guessed it) burgers. Aside from that, they also have a big wine menu and spiked milkshakes.

Minty Z Midtown
Midtown welcomed Minty Z’s second location this month. This vegan dim sum restaurant serves the same dumplings, kimchi, and bao buns you’ll find at its Coconut Grove location.

Okeydokey
Six new spots opened inside this three-story food hall in Brickell. Their vendors include places specializing in Asian fusion, Italian, ramen, Mediterranean, chicken, breakfast, and cocktails. They also have live music and entertainment.
March
The team from Itamae and B-Side sushi opened Maty’s in Midtown. The spacious restaurant is serving sharable Peruvian dishes (like an outstanding roasted dorade) and excellent cocktails. We’ve already added Maty’s to our Hit List.
Smorgasburg on Lincoln Road
Smorgasburg launched its newest location on Lincoln Road. This once-a-week outdoor food market features a lot of rotating local vendors every Friday from 5:30pm to 10:30.
Petite Comité Japandi Bistro
Japandi is not a word you hear very often in Miami. But that’s what Petit Comité claims to be. This is an Asian/ Scandinavian/French restaurant in Edgewater. Check out their menu online.

Motek Coral Gables
This Israeli restaurant slipped into the old Forte spot on Miracle Mile this month. Their menu includes an arayes burger we really like and an excellent chicken schnitzel sandwich. This is their third Motek location after opening in Downtown and at the Aventura Mall.
PEZ Miami
Pez is back in Downtown with a revamped dining room and menu. This casual Mexican spot is serving seafood dishes like Tostilocos with ceviche, shrimp tostadas, and aguachile.
February
Float is located on the pool deck of a Downtown hotel. The Middle Eastern restaurant and lounge is open for brunch from 11am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Their menu includes breakfast platters, calamari, and dips.

Vice City Pizza
You might know Vice City Pizza’s location in Abi Maria. But this new spot in West Kendall is their permanent home. You can still find them in their Downtown Dadeland location. But the West Kendall shop now has its own space dedicated to making the best Detroit-style pizzas in town. We like their Dadeland spot, but this one is even better.
Yakko Bistro
Yakko San—a classic Japanese restaurant that used to be on 163rd Street—has reopened in its original location in North Miami Beach (and changed its name to Yakko Bistro). Their menu includes sushi, ramen, and crispy bok choy. Last call for food is 11:45pm every night. Doors close at midnight on weekdays, 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and they’re closed on Sundays.
Kith Treats Miami Design District
Kith, a New York fashion brand, opened Kith Treats—a dessert shop in the Design District. It’s a cereal bar that serves waffles, ice cream, and milkshakes.
Sadelle's At Kith
Across from Kith Treats is the Kith retail store in the Design District. And on the second floor of that retail space is another location of Sadelle’s. This is the brunch spot’s second Miami location, following Sadelle’s in Coconut Grove.
Tablé By Antonio Bachour
Tablé is a new restaurant in the Design District from the Bachour team. This place serves classic French food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu items include a croissant sandwich with smoked trout, lobster flatbread with stracciatella and bacon, and cote de beouf.
Bo Leg's BBQ
This barbecue spot just reopened inside the SkateBird skatepark in North Miami. They’re smoking all kinds of meats and cooking St. Louis-style ribs, jerk chicken, and turkey legs. They do takeout and delivery too.
January
Tanka
Located inside an Edgewater’s condominium, Tanka is an East-Asian restaurant that serves Cantonese, Shanghai, and Szechuan food. The menu includes dim sum, noodles, and peking duck.
Zeru
This Basque and Mediterranean restaurant from Mexico opened its first American location inside the Hotel AKA Brickell. Their menu includes crispy socarrat rice and other Spanish dishes.
Casa Bufala
Casa Bufala is an Italian restaurant in Sunset Harbour with indoor and outdoor seating, plus a menu that features neapolitan dishes like pizza and ricotta gnocchi with lobster.
The Wabi Sabi team opened an upscale fast-casual spot in Coconut Grove that offers a very similar menu and includes Japanese rice bowls, omakase platters, maki, and individual nigiri.
Sushi by Scratch Restaurants: Miami

Sushi By Scratch was already open, but it's now finally inside its permanent residence on Main Highway in Coconut Grove. We visited them during their temporary residency inside the Stirrup House. And you can find our review of their original location here.
Queen
The old Paris Theater in Miami Beach is now Queen, a Japanese restaurant and lounge with strong clubstaurant vibes. Menu options include sashimi, nigiri, and a bone-in 42oz Japanese wagyu ribeye for $1,100. Reservations are live, but nothing is currently available.
Coco is a fine dining restaurant in the Design District that takes its name and aesthetic inspiration from Coco Chanel. The menu includes crudos, pastas, and Ōra King salmon.

Giselle
Giselle is E11even’s new rooftop bar and restaurant in Downtown Miami. It’s located directly atop the nightclub. And its menu is a mix of Asian, Mediterranean, and French cuisine. You can make reservations online.
December
The Boia De team opened Walrus Rodeo in the same plaza this month. Their menu includes dishes like potato gnocchi, white anchovy and maple brown butter pizza, lamb ragu lasagna, and carrot tartare. Getting a reservation online is easier than Boia De too (and we've already added this place to our Hit List).
Caracas Bakery MiMo
Caracas Bakery, one of Miami’s best bakeries, just opened a second location in MiMo. The new spot has an expanded menu, more space to sit and eat, and the same great cachitos.
Eating House
Coral Gables welcomed the second version of Eating House, which closed in 2021. This time, Eating House relocated a couple storefronts over from its sister restaurant, Luca Osteria. The new menu includes brussels sprouts caesar, crispy cheese and pineapple, and halibut in a vanilla bean “au poivre” sauce.
Victoria's Vinos y Vermutería

Vicky’s House Milkshake Bar is now Victoria’s Vinos y Vermuteria, a narrow bar that serves various sweet and bitter vermouths neat or on the rocks (including some made in-house). There are also Spanish ciders, wines, and small bites—like charcuterie and tea sandwiches.
Beauty And The Butcher
The Stubborn Seed team opened Beauty & The Butcher in Coral Gables this month. Their menu consists of seasonal dishes like snow peas caesar salad and features a selection of different meats like smoked beef rib with winter pickled vegetables.
Tacombi Miami Beach
Tacombi (whose delightful website brings us back to the days of dial-up) is a taqueria with multiple locations in New York. They’ve opened their second Miami location in South Beach, and have a small menu that focuses on tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and margaritas.
The Lost Boy and Tropezón team opened a new South Beach spot. It’s a seafood bistro with a raw bar and cocktail bar. You can see the full menu online.
Square Pie City
After bouncing around as a pop-up, Square Pie City now has its own restaurant just outside the Design District in the former Harry’s Pizza space. They serve big, thick (and good) slices of Detroit-style pizza.
November
The Ariete team's newest restaurant is located in Downtown’s (also new) Miami Worldcenter. It’s serving “French-inspired Miami cuisine.” The menu includes boeuf en croûte, escargot in vol-au-vent, frog legs, and seared foie gras.
This bakery is a former pandemic pop-up that found a permanent home in Little River. They make cinnamon rolls, shokupan, and black sesame shortbread cookies. We’ve already added them to our Hit List.
MaryGold’s, a collaboration with the team from Broken Shaker, is a “Florida brasserie” located inside the new Arlo Hotel in Wynwood. The menu includes caviar, porcelet, hand cut tagliatelle, and big steaks.
Jass Kitchen is a Mediterranean restaurant in Buena Vista that has live jazz, reasonable prices, and a very date night-appropriate interior. That's why we’ve already added it to our Best Miami Restaurants For Date Night guide.
Branja
This Israeli restaurant in Buena Vista is currently taking reservations for their eight-course Kitchen Confidential Dinner Series—a $120 set menu. They have two seating times available, each two and a half hours long.
Avra Estiatorio
Avra, which has locations in New York and Beverly Hills, is a Greek restaurant that opened in Sunny Isles. You can see their full menu online.
Fabel
Fabel is Mykonos-inspired restaurant that opened in Wynwood. This Mediterranean spot has outdoor seating, and reservations can be made online.
Enrique Tomás
Enrique Tomás—known for international stores that specialize in jamón ibérico—opened a restaurant in Wynwood. It serves Spanish food and—of course—jamon.
Estación Central Miami
Estacion Central Miami is a Spanish tapas restaurant that opened inside the Langford Hotel in Downtown. They serve Galicean-style octopus, patatas bravas, paella, basque cheesecake, and more.
Tambourine Room
Tambourine Room is a small tasting menu spot inside the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort that combines French cuisine and Asian influences. They’re currently serving three courses at 6pm ($140 per person) and six courses at 8:30pm ($215 per person).
Sushi By Bou Miami
Sushi By Bou is a restaurant with multiple locations—including several in New York and Chicago. This place used to operate out of the Versace Mansion in South Beach. Now it’s in the SLS Hotel in Brickell. The omakase offers 12 and 17-course options ranging from $60 to $100 per person. You can make reservations online.
