Virginia Otazo
Staff Writer
Virginia was born and raised in Miami. But like many Dade County natives, she left—only to predictably return. While away, she earned a practical degree in Creative Writing from Florida State University, which logically led to a career managing restaurants in Washington, DC, and Palm Beach, FL. Virginia was inevitably lured back to Miami by her Cuban family's spirited Sunday dinners, the daredevil thrill of driving on the Palmetto, and to push the local picadillo debate from Raisins vs. No Raisins to Banana vs. No Banana.
